The Ijazah Recitation Course is a rigorous, advanced program designed for serious students who seek formal authorization (Ijazah) in Qur’anic recitation with Tajweed. In this sacred tradition, students recite the full Qur’an under the supervision of certified teachers who possess an unbroken chain (sanad) going back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
This course prioritizes excellence in recitation, mastery of Tajweed, and spiritual refinement—essential qualities for those entrusted with carrying the words of Allah to future generations.

Each session is 50 minutes, incorporating individualized recitation, correction, and review.

Mustafa YİĞİT
A graduate of Al-Azhar University (Tafsir Department), Mustafa YİĞİT is a Kurra Hafiz with over 25 years of teaching experience. He holds an Ijazah in the Ten Qira’at (Kiraat-i Ashara Sughra) and is fluent in English, Arabic, Kurdish, and Turkish. He currently teaches Hifz, Qira’at, Quranic Arabic, Tafsir, and Tajweed at Essence Academy.
Asim BUDAK
A graduate of Al-Azhar University in Islamic Fiqh, Asim BUDAK is a Qari Hafiz who holds an Ijazah in the Ten Qira’at (Kiraat-i Ashara Sughra & Al-Kubra). With more than 25 years of teaching experience, he is known for his precision and depth. He teaches Hifz, Qira’at, Tafsir, Quranic Arabic, and Tajweed at Essence Academy and speaks English, Arabic, and Turkish.
Classes are scheduled based on student and teacher availability
The course duration varies by student progress and consistency
Offered online worldwide and in-person at Essence Academy campuses in Austin and Houston
Strong proficiency in Qur’anic reading with Tajweed
Memorization of at least 5 Juz’ (recommended: 10+)
Completion of an entry interview and acceptance by instructors
High level of commitment to regular attendance and correction
Upon successful completion, students will receive:
