Join us every Saturday evening from 7:30–9:00 PM at Essence Academy for a beautiful and uplifting Qur’an and Qira’at Circle.
This gathering is open to both brothers and sisters, and we encourage carpooling for convenience and community spirit.
Following the classical halaqah style, participants will sit together in a circle to recite the Noble Qur’an. Readings will be lovingly corrected and refined in the traditional “mukābala” method — the same way our beloved Prophet ﷺ would review Qur’an with Jibreel (peace be upon him).
The night will include:
Correcting and beautifying our Qur’an recitation
Exploring the art of Qira’at (variant recitations)
Reflections on melody and maqām in recitation
Short Tafseer insights on the verses being recited
It is a time of knowledge, spirituality, and connection with the Book of Allah in the company of others striving for His pleasure.
Note: Due to limited space, we kindly request that very young children who may not be able to sit through the circle not attend this particular gathering.

With over 25 years of experience in Qur’an recitation, Tajwīd, Qirā’āt, and traditional halaqah teaching, Ustadh Mustafa Yiğit brings both scholarly precision and heartfelt guidance to this gathering. His background includes formal ijazah training and decades of instructing students of all levels in classical and modern settings.
